Maçakızı was established in 1977 by Ayla Emiroğlu as a pension and a private beach located in Bodrum town. The original aim was to create an inspiring environment for writers, painters and intellectuals. Over the years, Maçakızı continued to evolve and grow in line with Bodrum’s increasing popularity.
Macakizi has 54 rooms and 20 suites, all featuring artwork by renowned Turkish artist Suat Akdemir. 18 standard garden view rooms overlook their lush gardens while 36 standard sea view rooms offer Aegean vistas framed by hot pink bougainvillea.
Maçakızı is as much a culinary destination as it is a hotel. Chef Aret Sahakyan’s menus reflect his passion for blending Turkish and Mediterranean flavors and cooking techniques, using only the finest local ingredients and olive oils.
